Hi! First, I love your work it's so inspiring & beautiful! Second, I'm a new photographer & I just want to know, how do you get your work exposed & how do you find models? Do they come to you or do you look for them? I'm loving it so far & each photo shoot I see my progress but I just struggle with these two factors the most. Much love, -ChelcDrew
Right now I shoot mostly agency models unless I’m inspired. When I shoot my private work I either approach a person or they ask me. I just shoot. I love what I do. Do You? If you do it will show. If you build it they will come.
hi there , im a single 22 years old white male from NYC , I think you are so Beautiful and Divine , I adore everything African , and recently met a Nigerian Queen , to me ALL African ladies are Queens , I would love to get to know , im a self employed Hair Designer , who specialises in styling Natural Afro hair , as well as Locced and Braided hair , what is your hair like at the moment ?
My hair is freaked out by this!! did you just write to express your fetish?
What's your story and what chapter are you in right now in your life?
I’ve passed the opening chapters and the coming of age part. I’m of age and justifiably affirmed in my convictions and goals. This is the part of the book I climb and aspire. I feel like i’m living the slow montage sequence of tragedy translated into positive images…
I'm sure you get questions like this often, but I'm curious about what informs/influences/directs your approach to photography. You manage to capture the blk female form in a way that reflects blk women's humanity when so many other images seek to strip that element (humanity) away.
I think when you regard something you are prone to approach it with that intent in mind. I regard my work with dignity. Dignity. Its with that lens I project my view unto the world. I’m flattered that you can interpret each frame. I want you to see yourself in these images with dignity.
